Owning a business is not something new for Greg who previously owned and operated a mobile
lawnmower repair business in and around the Phoenix area for about five years, from 1986
through 1991. The business grew to a point of decision of where to take his career, working nights
full time and then running his business during the day was becoming too much. After much prayer
and counsel, he decided to sell the business and return to school to earn his Bachelors degree in
business from Western International University, which he completed in 1995. After a job relocation
to southern California he later completed his MBA from California Lutheran University in 2003. Greg
has spent the majority of his career working in the manufacturing industry in various capacities;
Electronic Technician, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, and Production Control
Manager. His career experience includes the following industries; Aerospace, Aluminum Cans, Bar
Code Printers, and today works for a company that manufactures custom displays for flight
simulators. He has been a part of Self-Directed-Work-Teams, Lean Manufacturing/5S, Next Level,
Kaizen, and various other corporate initiatives to reduce waste and improve manufacturing
processes.
In July of 2007, Greg founded and started VSA Performance Products. VSA represents the first
letters of his wife and daughters names; Vicki, Stephanie, & Ashley. This business would allow
Greg the opportunity to bring his love for classic cars and motorcycles together through a product
that he had recently started using, AMSOIL. Greg was unable to find AMSOIL when he needed it for
his 1996 Yamaha Virago XV1100 and after much searching he found out that he could start his own
AMSOIL dealership. This would allow Greg the opportunity to bring AMSOIL to others through
vending at both classic cars/motorcycle shows in addition to an Internet business. His plans are to
move into this full time within the next five years.
Performance was added to drive Greg's vision for finding the best products to offer his customers.
Products that have a commitment to deliver the fulfillment of a claim, promise, or request. So his
formula for performance became: Performance = quality + integrity.
Products was then added on for the growth of the vision. Greg wanted a business that offers a
complete line of performance products. So the journey started to build a company of performance
products to meet all our customers needs.
